Channel Islands Retirement Solutions is a registered trading name of Homebuyer Financial Services Limited and as such is subject to these terms of business. Any reference to Homebuyer Financial Services Limited as refers to Channel Islands Retirement Solutions.
Homebuyer Financial Services Limited is an Independent Financial Adviser and will act on your behalf in advising and arranging life assurance, pensions, unit trusts, investment bonds, loans and other products. Being independent we will research the market place to provide a product or service we consider suitable for your stated needs.
We normally ask our clients to give us written instructions to proceed, to avoid possible disputes. We may, however, accept your verbal instructions at our sole discretion.
Whilst we offer independent financial advice, occasionally a situation may arise where we, or one of our customers, will have some form of interest in business which we are transacting for you. If this happens, or we become aware that our interests, or those of one of our customers, conflict with your interests, we will inform you and will obtain your consent before we carry out your instructions.
After we have arranged any investments for which you have given us instructions we will, on a regular basis, contact you to review them.
Our authority to act on your behalf may be terminated by you or us at any time, without penalty, by written notice.
Homebuyer Financial Services derive income from commission and/or fees paid by Life Assurance companies, unit trust managers and other financial service providers.
If we receive commissions or other benefits from the issue of a security (or from another intermediary), we will inform you, of the amount received either as a monetary figure or a percentage of the funds involved.
Alternatively, you may request that we act on your behalf on a fee basis, which will be agreed with you before any chargeable work commences.
All investments will be registered in your name unless you direct otherwise in writing.
We will forward to you all documents showing ownership of your investments as soon as practicable after we receive them. Where a number of documents relating to a series of transactions is involved, we normally hold each document until the series is complete then forward them to you.
We keep records of all our business transactions for at least ten years.
We treat all client records as confidential. At your request we will provide copies of your records allowing for a charge to cover our costs.
We never accept cheques made out to us (unless it is in settlement of charges or fees which have been invoiced) or handle cash.
